Great Storm Brewing Co 3rd Annual Homebrew Contest
Competition Details: Entries are accepted in the taproom May 16th - 21st during regular business hours. Two 12 oz bottles, 2 entries max per person. An entry form must accompany each entry.

Extract is OK but bear in mind we need to convert to grain and the resultant recipe may not exactly match the original so extract beers may be at a slight disadvantage. Any style is OK, and in the true spirit of GSB, beers need not adhere to BJCP style guidelines (and they encourage you not to), but tell us what style you think it generally fits.

Last year's winner was Joshua Sales' Simcoe Smash American Pale Ale. Keep in mind our small size. Ingredients should be readily available from our suppliers. When you drop off your beer, we'll ask for a list of ingredients so we can be sure we can obtain them if yours wins. Results and prizes are announced Wed. June 1st the tap room at 7pm. The winner will brew a one bbl batch on our system with our brewers' help. While the winning brew is on tap, the winner will receive free beer in the taproom and big-time bragging rights.

Judges will be GSB staff. They are not BJCP judges! Their decision will be entirely subjective and final! They are excited to see what you've got so BRING IT!

See more information and get the form to download on their website -

Rails & Ales 2016
Rio Grande Scenic Railroad's most popular event sells out earlier each year. Don't miss your chance to experience Colorado's most unique brew fest.

Don't wait to buy tickets, this event sells out fast and the 9th annual Rails & Ales promises to be the best yet.

Rails & Ales combines some of our favorite things: classic rail equipment, rustic Rocky Mountain setting, live music, smoking hot BBQ and handcrafted brews from the region's best. There's just something so special about hopping on a train with friends to the wide open space we call Fir Station - our "little piece of Heaven" custom-built for the railroad meant to highlight how nature can so perfectly complement music.

The Rails & Ales Brewfest brings together brewers and their devoted fans, a hardy group that understands the simple truth of this event - you only get here by rail and it doesn't get any better than this.
